Tracy Carmen-Jones is the founder of the Waterlight Group, a leadership coaching and management consulting firm founded on the idea that individuals and organizations can consistently reach higher levels of performance by developing future-oriented strategies, cultivating skills and sharpening interpersonal behaviors.  Consulting engagements include line of business strategy creation, process reengineering, strategic marketing plan development, change management and team effectiveness building.  

Tracy is also a Leadership Coach with educational credentials at the Professional Certified Coach level from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. Tracy has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University for college preparation programs for high school teens.  On the coaching front, Tracy provides individual and team based coaching to high potential leaders, seasoned professionals and C-suite individuals and teams.  Her approach leverages a blend of best-in-class coaching methodologies, organizational change insights and business acumen to generate high impact, sustainable results.  Tracy is the creative spark behind WaterLight Group’s PITstop program, a series of experiential workshops designed to facilitate self-awareness and stimulate participants to move towards committed goals.

A proud supporter of developing leadership in children though scouting, Tracy is a Girl Scout leader and a persistent stand, advocate and guide behind boys journeying to become Eagle Scouts. 

Tracy lives in Houston, TX. with her budding teens Zachary Clarence, Jordan Nicole and their Maltipoo Cooper.

Tracy Carmen-Jones is a leadership coach to high potential and C-suite leaders, leveraging coaching best practices and real work experience to cultivate professional growth.  Tracy earned leadership coaching certification at Georgetown University and has demonstrated competencies at the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.   • Oil Field Services: Coached Division President on improving communication style with direct reports and team members, how to balance direct leadership vs. delegation and how to convey appropriate level of importance and urgency without getting directly involved. Conducted narrative 360 interviews that revealed detailed, genuine feedback on how he is being experienced by the team and specific areas of improvement and impact. Worked with client to identify underlying thought habits and patterns.

  • Retail Electric Provider: Coached Senior Vice President, Operations on creating strong work relationships, improving team collaboration and learning how to modulate personal power without diminishment.  Worked with client to identify underlying thought habits and patterns that impacted behaviors and team dynamics.

  • National Youth Development NGO: Coached a Vice President, Operations to improve leadership credibility and build trust
    across functions and within his team. The challenge for the client was in developing a keener appreciation for vision setting
    and the role credibility plays in employee engagement and communications.
